As a pastor’s kid, I grow up being taught all of the rules of staying saved and celibate until marriage. I have to admit I was raised in what many would say is a “strict environment.” I was taught not to date anyone unless you saw them as potential spouse material. I had my first date when I was a senior in college! Since then I have had a lot of “interesting” experiences in finding “The One.” The quote “out of your misery, shall come your ministry” sums it all up for me.
This website was birthed in 2007 from my own personal collection of articles I had on my computer. These articles and websites were a blessing and encouragement to me, so I decided to post them online. The original site was located on http://singles.robbiemac.com. The domain name www.SavedandSingle.info was purchased in Fall 2010.
February 2011 marked the start of the star component to Saved & Singles Ministries, which is the bi-monthly conference calls. On the second and fourth Saturdays singles from literally around the world join in for a time of testimony, Word, encouragement and prayer. S&S Ministries has had a wide array of guest speakers featured on the bi-monthly conference calls from various countries to include talk show hosts, authors, national speakers, ministers, evangelists, recording artists, pastors and educators.
In 2013, S&S Ministries released The Saved and Single Word, Prayer & Affirmation CD – Volume I. This album contains Spoken Word, Prayers and Affirmations from seven, spirit-filled artists, spanning two countries. These brothers and sisters will remind you to tell doubt and defeat to get out of the way, so you can live a victorious life in Christ. This album is a must have for every Saved and Single Christian and is available on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.
Since 2013, S&S has been featured on television yearly including Preach the Word Network, Atlanta Live, TBN and The Now Network. In 2016, S&S introduced the 4P’s Every Single Needs to Pray (Purity, Protection, Purpose and Perseverance) bookmark. In 2016 – 2017, S&S aired a weekly 15-minute radio broadcast on WMOB (Mobile, AL).
April 2018, the founder married Victoria. With both having a passion for singles ministry, felt lead to continue serving as hosts for the platform. Summer 2018, Saved and Single Ministries transitioned from the bi-monthly telephone conference call to a monthly Facebook/YouTube Live broadcast. August 2018, the book, Seven Statements Singles Encounter was released. This book gives singles words of wisdom and encouragement from scripture to overcome the internal and external pressures of the world during the Season of Singleness.
January 1, 2020, Saved and Single released the S&S app available for both Android and Apple devices. Also in January 2020, Saved and Single began collaborating with the Apostolic Singles Network to release a bi-monthly podcast.
